135 When we launched Scality S3 Server one year ago (here’s the Scality press release), we did so with big dreams. After all, the project came to life following a Scality-sponsored hackathon. We knew we were making something amazing, putting it out in the open, and helping developers by offering them a free tool they could use to test their apps in an AWS S3 environment. The response has been overwhelming. Available on GitHub and Docker Hub as a container, the project has taken off like a rocket. We find ourselves marking 300,000 pulls on Docker Hub. (The number continues to grow.) Here’s a look back at the timeline: Official launch: April 18, 2016 6000 pulls: October 31, 2016 100,000 pulls: February 9, 2017 300,000 pulls: May 5, 2017 We’re now almost at 500K Docker pulls, so technically, this blog post is a little late. And as you can see, the project is gaining traction worldwide. Check it out on Docker Hub Congratulations to the team behind Scality S3 Server, and thank you to everyone in the community who has downloaded Scality S3 server. We really (and we mean REALLY) appreciate the support. Our mascot, Zenko, has been busy, too! Photo by Jeremy Vessey on Unsplash
