How to avoid a data swamp by using object storage for your data lake

Data lakes offer an appealing and practical option for organizations dealing with enormous (and exponentially growing) volumes of unstructured data. Without structure (without metadata), your massive “body” of data isn’t a lake. It’s a swamp. Not only can you not find what you need, but you might not even know where to look in the first place.
