Scality and HPE help Tottenham manage data edge to core — and support fan safety The HPE + Scality solution helps Tottenham manage video files from more than 700 CCTV cameras. It also manages data edge-to-core by directly storing video from cameras positioned throughout the stadium in a data lake repository within the core data center. To store data from so many high-density video files, the Spurs turned to HPE Apollo 4000 servers with Scality RING, which offers seamless capacity expansion, cost efficiency, high density and the proper performance to store video directly to a data lake repository. This HPE + Scality solution aids the stadium in providing a secure environment for all guests. Additionally, the platform serves as a Veeam Backup Repository, enhancing data protection and durability. “We need the data, the analytics, and the intelligence… We now have more data sources than any other stadium in the world. It’s an accelerator for us to drive more revenues. But at its heart, it’s an enabler for us to deliver an enhanced fan experience.” Fran Jones, head of partnerships, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
